I have been privileged to serve in education for 13 years. I started my educational career in Aldine ISD as a Bilingual Teacher. I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. In this part of my career, I learned the beauty of teaching and getting to know the needs of my students. In August 2016, I started as a 4th grade Spanish Dual Language Teacher at ILTexas Katy K8. This is when I realized that teaching is a vocation that I was called to do. Then, I became the 5th Grade Level Administrator. I was honored to lead my team and create lasting bonds with my students and parents. In 2019, I was blessed to serve my campus as the K-2 Assistant Principal. My team grew to include teachers, students, and parents. It was a fulfilling role that taught me the importance of working as a team to build a strong community for the good of the students. This year, I transitioned into the Area EL Coordinator position for the Greater Houston Area. I work with multiple campuses on LPAC compliance and instructional support. I work to create a collaborative environment with teachers, students, and parents to ensure all our students are successful and show progress. Student success is my priority!
