Sunday - YP Community Service Project
This year, ILSR has partnered with the USCC Young Professionals to bring CCC attendees to the YP community service event at Three Sisters Gardens (317 5th Street, West Sacramento, 95605) — a West Sacramento nonprofit that works to rebuild urban soils and empower and nourish the community by teaching urban agriculture practices.
USCC is taking the lead for this event, so please contact their event organizers with any questions.

Sunday - Compost Art Gallery Opening Reception
Looking to unwind with art and good company ahead of our packed forum day? We invite you to the opening event of the compost art gallery, Gathering Ground: A Celebration of Compost Art and Culture, at Flower Fist Art Market.
This year's local host partner, the California Alliance for Community Composting, has taken the lead on organizing a show featuring over 75 artists.

Attendance is free for Community Composter Coalition (CCC) members. All attendees will also get a free drink!

Tuesday & Wednesday - Compost Clown!
For two special nights in Sacramento, see "Dirt Trip" A Compost Clown performance.
Through monologue, physical theatre, dark humor and occasional song, Alex Tatarsky will challenge our discomfort with waste, invite laughter at the underbelly of society, and honor the hidden life under our feet
Tatarsky works at the intersection of clowning, performance art, dance-theatre and poetic research. She blends physical presence with metaphor - using decay and compost not just as props but as core material of her art.
Four performances will take place at Flower Fist Art Market (1819 E St, Sacramento, CA 95811):
