The Association of Minorities in Political Science (AMPS), aims to provide professional development, academic support and mentorship to historically underrepresented groups in the discipline. We do this by connecting political science students with the resources & community they need to pursue innovative research projects, generous scholarships, prestigious career opportunities, and more.

AMPS hosts & co-hosts a variety of events tailored around professional development, academic support, and mentorship within political science
General Meetings:
Introduce students to campus resources
Spotlight issues (both personal and academic)
Impact political science students and provide networking opportunities for students to get more involved
Workshops:
Illinois at Washington Application Info Night (ft. a former White House Intern) with Illini Democrats
Virtual Law School Chat w/ the Pre-Law Honors Society, Phi Delta Phi, and Asian Pre-Law Association
LSAT Game Night w/ Minority Association for Future Attorneys and the Pre-Law Advising Services Office
