Ishfaq Aziz

Ishfaq is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His current research focuses on Radar sensing for non-destructive characterization of sub-surface materials. He is currently working on waveform inversion methods for estimating material properties from radar signals. The overall research is a fusion of the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) simulation of radar wave propagation in multilayered media, numerical optimization, and Bayesian inference for parameter estimation, as well as the validation of the developed methodology on experimental data.
