College refers to any 2 or 4 year degree granting school that you can attend after you graduate from high school. If you attend a 2 year college, you'll graduate with an Associate's Degree. If you attend a 4 year college or university, you'll graduate with a Bachelor's Degree. These schools come in many different sizes and prices.
I've included a list of colleges for popular career paths. Just because I only list 4-6 schools on each page does not mean that other schools in the Chicago area do not offer majors in your preferred area of study! Take these as a good place to start, but most of these majors will be offered at any college you look at.
Trade School is where you go after high school if you know you either want to pursue a certain career but need extra training, or you know you want to continue your education but you would rather study a career that is hands on. There are many, many different trades you can go to school for, and it takes different amounts of time to graduate with your credentials.
