We are a young and dynamic synthetic inorganic chemistry research group dedicated to exploring the potential of main-group elements as transition metal mimetics and developing novel main-group functional materials. Our research is centered around low-oxidation-state compounds of Group 13, 14, and 15 elements, incorporating tailored donor ligands such as N-heterocyclic carbenes. By designing and investigating these molecular systems, we aim to push the boundaries of main-group chemistry and establish new paradigms in catalysis and materials science.
Our research is driven by the ambition to expand the role of main-group elements beyond their classical chemistry and to establish them as viable alternatives to transition metals in catalysis and functional materials. By combining fundamental studies with application-driven research, we strive to develop innovative solutions for sustainable synthesis, energy conversion, and molecular transformations.
As a newly established research group, we look forward to collaborating with researchers across disciplines to explore new frontiers in main-group chemistry. With our focus on cutting-edge molecular design, electronic tuning, and catalytic reactivity, we aim to make significant contributions to both fundamental science and practical applications in the fields of catalysis, materials science, and beyond.
