Dr. Sumit Murab
Dr. Murab completed his PhD from Centre for Biomedical Engineering at IIT Delhi/ AIIMS New Delhi with Prof. Sourabh Ghosh and Prof. Alok Ray. He also worked at the Centre for Biodevice Innovation (CURAM) at NUI Galway during his PhD, with Prof. Abhay Pandit. After that he moved to Tufts University, Boston with Prof. David Kaplan for his Postdoctoral Studies. Followed by extending the same in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where he later joined as a Faculty in 2020. He then moved back to Indian in 2022 to his current position at IIT Mandi.

Dr. Suraj Singh
I did my Ph.D. from the Stem Cell Research Center, Department of Hematology, SGPGIMS, Lucknow, India, where my research focused on generation of MXene-based composite nanofibrous scaffolds for efficient differentiation of stem cell-derived pancreatic beta cells. Currently, my work at IIT Mandi explores the generation of edible scaffolds and 3D bioprinting for tissue engineering applications. Outside the lab, I enjoy gardening, music, and playing volleyball and badminton.

Pankaj Sharma
I am Pankaj Sharma, currently a Ph.D. scholar in Translational Tissue Engineering Lab. I have completed my Master's in Biotechnology from IIT Roorkee, and Bachelor's in Analytical Chemistry from Delhi University. I am highly driven and motivated toward translational research that is oriented toward the advancement of human health and welfare. Apart from Research, I am a huge Real Madrid Football Club Fan, I am really interested in Music and TV Series, and love to explore new places.
Vedante Mishra
This is Vedante Mishra, a Ph.D research scholar in the TTE Lab of School of Biosciences and Bioengineering (SBB) at IIT Mandi. I have earned M.Sc. degree in Microbiology from DAV College, Kanpur (U.P.) and have qualified GATE (XL). Before joining the lab I have served as a Microbiologist at Aavya Life Science Pvt. Ltd. . I have keen interest in regenerative medicine and disease models.
Ankita Negi (Jointly with Dr. Garima Agrawal)
I am Ankita Negi, Ph.D student in the school of Biosciences and Bioengineering (SBB) at IIT Mandi. I did BSc in Life Sciences from Delhi University in 2019. After this, I completed MSc. Biotechnology from Delhi Technological University (DTU) in 2021. I then worked as a Project fellow at National Agriculture & Food Biotechnology Institute, Mohali. It involved Development of easy to use, sensitive, and specific sensing platforms using nanomaterials. In 2022, I joined the lab of Dr. Sumit Murab. Here, my research area involves Tissue Engineering and nanotechnology. Outside my academic interest, I like exploring new places, poetry and trekking.
Kajal Goswami (Jointly with Dr. Garima Agrawal)
I am Kajal Goswami, done my MSc. from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, joined as a PhD scholar in School of Chemical Science with Dr. Garima Aggarwal and Dr. Sumit Murab. My field of interest lies in tissue engineering, Biomaterials, Nanomaterials, Catalysis, Bio-polymers and 3D bioprinting technology for tissue regeneration applications.
Himanshi Diwan
I am Himanshi Diwan, currently joined as a Ph.D. scholar in Translational Tissue Engineering Lab. I have completed my Master's in Biotechnology from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar; and Bachelor's in Biotechnology from U.I.E.T, Kurukshetra University. My primary research interests are in the field of tissue and biomedical engineering, wound healing, biomaterials, drug delivery, regenerative medicine, cancer and translational medicine, which aims to improve human health and well-being. I practice mindfulness and yoga. My hobbies are learning about Japanese culture, hand-lettering and watching series and travelling.
Saksham Handa (Jointy with Prof. Navin Kumar, IIT Ropar)
I am Saksham Handa, Ph.D. scholar (Joint Ph.D. Program (IIT Mandi-IIT Ropar)) in the Translational Tissue Engineering Laboratory, School of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Mandi. I have completed my M.Tech. (Biotechnology) from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab and B.Tech. (Biotechnology) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, Punjab. My research focuses on exploring the domains of biomaterials, tissue engineering and additive manufacturing in biomedical engineering. Apart from academics, I like to do painting, drawing and love to travel and explore new places.
Tapaswini Jena
I am Tapaswini Jena and I am a PhD research scholar under IKSMHA. I did my Masters in Biotechnology from Ravenshaw University, Odisha (2020) and my bachelors in Zoology from Utkal University Odisha. Previously, I worked as Scientific assistant at CIPET-LARPM. At TTE lab my research interest includes 3D bioprinting and finding ayurvedic solution for bone fracture healing. My hobbies include singing, sketching and reading.
Priyanka Dagar
I am Priyanka Dagar, Integrated MTech-PhD. student in the School of Biosciences and Bioengineering (SBB) at IIT Mandi. I did BSc in Zoology (hons.) from Delhi University. After this, I completed MSc. in Biochemistry from Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. My field of interest lies in tissue engineering, Biomaterials, Nanomaterials, Bio-polymers and 3D bioprinting technology for tissue regeneration applications. I am Sumit Suprabhat Behera, currently pursuing Integrated M.Tech-PhD at School of Biosciences and Bioengineering IIT Mandi.I have completed my Bsc Agriculture (Hons.) from Sri Sri University,Cuttack, Odisha.I am more keen to delve into the intricacies of tissue and biomedical engineering to explore more about its application in drug delivery,regenerative medicine and it's other application on medical field. I am Rohit Kumar, a M.Tech. scholar in the School of Biosciences and Bioengineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. I have completed my B.Tech. in Biotechnology from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, U.P. I am Shivanshu Singh, a fifth-year integrated BTech-MTech student in the School of Biosciences and Bioengineering (SBB). My current research project focuses on evaluating the ultrasound compatibility of tissue-mimicking phantoms. In addition to my academic work, my interest lies in building scalable and robust software applications, including web applications, primarily using Java and Python, with possible incorporation of AI.
