I am driven by a long-standing fascination with the logical and systematic nature of chemistry, which led me to major in chemistry and specialise in organic chemistry. I am particularly drawn to the creative aspects of organic synthesis, where the design of new molecules and catalytic strategies can have far-reaching impacts in medicine, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. In my independent career, I aim to develop N-heterocyclic carbene–transition metal catalysis for stereoselective reactions, a rapidly evolving and intellectually stimulating field. I believe there is no limit to creativity in catalysis, and I am motivated by the challenge of discovering and designing new catalytic systems to advance modern synthetic chemistry.
