Dr. Pankaj Chavan received his PhD in Education Technology from IIT Bombay in 2023. His research lies at the intersection of education, technology, and design, with a focus on the following broad areas: Learning Analytics (LA) for Teachers, Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), Teacher Professional Development (TPD), and Engineering Education. He takes a pragmatic worldview and primarily uses mixed methods, user-centered and co-design methods, and statistical methods. Dr. Chavan received the Naik and Rastogi Award for Excellence in Ph.D. Research at IIT Bombay in 2024, and the Teaching Excellence Award at IIT Jodhpur in 2025. He has conducted faculty development programs (FDPs) on varied topics such as Active Learning, Use of ICT in Education, Assessment, Flipped Classroom, and Online teaching. He also conducted workshops for faculties and professionals at conferences.
Dr. Rajlaxmi Chouhan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur. She received her PhD from IIT Kharagpur in 2015, and in addition to her research in image processing applications, her current areas of interest include education technology, blended learning, and game-based learning. For her teaching contributions, she was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award in 2019, the Dr. Vandana Sharma Memorial Award for Teaching Innovation 2021, the Distinguished Teacher Award 2025 at IIT Jodhpur, and the IETE - Prof. K. Sreenivasan Memorial Award 2025 by IETE. Dr. Chouhan is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
With an interdisciplinary background in English Literature, Sociology and Education, Dr. Philip's work explores the links between the social, the political and the historical manifested in educational trajectories of individuals and institutions. Her research falls in the areas of Science and Society Studies, Sociology of Childhood, Political Sociology and Education Policy. She received the Young Researcher Award (Humanities, Social Sciences and Management) in 2024 at IIT Jodhpur.
Dr. Deepak Kumar Saxena holds a PhD in Management Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). Before moving to IIT Jodhpur, he worked with Trinity College Dublin (Postdoctoral Research Fellow), Dublin Institute of Technology (Lecturer), and Birla Institute of Technology & Science Pilani (Assistant Professor). Prior to his PhD, he worked with the Indian Space Research Centre, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, and Defence Research and Development Organisation in different capacities.
His current areas of interest include Enterprise Systems (on-premise and cloud-based), Digital Transformation, and AI Ethics. He has published his works in ABS, ABDC, SCI, and Scopus-listed journals. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for two Scopus-indexed journals and serving on the review panel of more than 20 internationally reputed Information Systems journals. He is currently serving as a Head at the School of Management & Entrepreneurship. He is also the Program Director for the MBA Technology Executive.
Dr. Durgamadhab Mishra is an Assistant Professor at IIT Jodhpur. He completed his M.Tech. in Solid State Materials at IIT Delhi in 2008. He completed his PhD. in Experimental Condense Matter Physics at Ruhr University Bochum in 2012. He is affiliated with the CETE and explores innovative pedagogies in Physics education.
Dr. Sumit Kalra completed his B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, Panjab University in 2010 and his M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2018. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. His research areas such as Software Architecture, Data Analytics, IoT and Smart Healthcare. Dr. Kalra received his PhD in Dr. Kalra received the Teaching Excellence Award at IIT Jodhpur in 2024 for his teaching contributions.
Dr. Priti Hingorani has completed her PhD in Management from Banasthali University. She has more than 15 years’ experience in teaching, research and administration in the academic institutes like Banasthali University, Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. She has published a book under UGC XII Plan Publication Grant, published papers in national and international journals. She has developed e-content modules for E-PG Pathshala, UGC – An MHRD Project under National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT). She was invited as the contributing expert in the National Workshop on Bharatiya Management organized by Centre for Educational and Social Studies in collaboration with IIM Bangalore and IIM Tiruchirappalli. She was awarded with ‘Teacher of Developing Era Award’ at 8th International Conference on Human Values and Culture, organized by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer.
Dr. Ankita Sharma is a Professor of Psychology in School of Liberal Arts at Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur). She is a Wisdom researcher and Positive Psychologist with active engagement and contribution in teaching, research, soft skill training, and well-being coaching. A passionate thinker on education, virtues for the life of self and others, and mental health/well-being of all, she has a rebellious quest to go beyond conventions that reflects in all of her academic and personal pursuits. She currently serves as the Dean of Student Affairs at IIT Jodhpur.
Dr. Gaurav Vaidya is an Assistant Professor at the School of Design, IIT Jodhpur. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Nagpur University), an M.Des. in Industrial Design (IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay), and a Ph.D. in Design (DoD, IIT Guwahati). Dr. Vaidya has over 12 years of academic and industry experience, having worked with Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Godrej Interio, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He was a visiting faculty member at the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh (NID MP); the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal; the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur; and the Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara, India. His work spans design education, emotional design, and new product development, integrating craft sensibilities and user-centered approaches in design practice.
Dr. Romi Banerjee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Jodhpur. She received her Ph.D from Calcutta University (work done at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata) in 2019. She primarily works in the areas of Cognitive AI — towards the design of effective minimal computer architectures and algorithms, Cognitive models of creativity and imagination, and Education Technology — focussing particularly on the design of Human-AI co-created personalized teaching / learning spaces.
Dr. B. M. Krishna is an experimental physicist in the area of optics, lasers, and terahertz. He received his Masters in Science from Andhra University in 2005, and PhD in Physics from University of Hyderbad in 2013.
Dr. Pranjal Protim Borah is an Assistant Professor at the School of Design, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, India. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and an M.Tech. with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. He earned his Ph.D. in Design, focusing on accessible gesture-based interactions for flexible smartphones that enable users with blindness or low vision to draw primitive geometric shapes. With over ten years of academic and research experience, he has actively contributed to diverse areas, including interaction techniques for emerging technologies, tangible and haptic user interfaces, multi-sensory UX design, aging and accessibility, rehabilitation, inclusive design, interactive computing, and machine learning (ML). Beyond research, he finds joy in painting, sculpting, photography, and gardening.
