PhD Thesis: Rural supply nodes in Resource Efficiency: An analysis of Agricultural Commodities
PhD Thesis: Risk Analysis of Meteorological Drought and its Economic Valuation for the Agriculture Sector.
He holds a postgraduate degree in statistics and he ranked first in recognition to the outstanding academic performance in the program. He also gained valuable research insights while working as a Research Associate in Indian Institute of Management Indore. Currently, he is working as Senior Research Fellow in the discipline of Economics. His research interest broadly lies in Statistical inference of Periodic inventory modeling, Operations Research. He has presented his research works in national and international conferences, to name a few, including POMS 2022, OLAB 2022, IAPQR GJC 2023, CMSTATISTICS 2023(Berlin) etc. He has received "Best Paper Award" at two academic conferences (MERC 2023, MDC&VRS 2023), recognizing the quality and impact of his research contributions. He has published research paper in reputed international journal, namely Annals of Opeartions Research (ABDC A, IF: 4.820) and also one book chapter in the book titled "Strategic Management, Decision Theory, and Decision Science: Contributions to Policy Issues" published by Springer Nature.
PhD Thesis: Assessment of Forest Fire Dynamics and its Impacts on Socio-economic Factors: A Study of Hoshangabad Forest Division, Madhya Pradesh
Hailing from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Amin Khan pursued his education locally before earning a master’s in Geography from Aligarh Muslim University. He further specialised with a PG Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS Applications from Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi. Before joining IIT Indore as a PhD student, Amin gained valuable experience at esteemed institutions like IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee. Currently, he is working as SRF at the sustainability lab, HSS, IIT Indore and also a Visiting Ph.D. Scholar at IIRS, ISRO. His research focuses on wildfires and their socio-economic impacts on indigenous tribes in India. His interests also extend to political ecology, forestry, community-based resource management, and climate change impact assessment.
PhD Thesis: Nationalism and democracy and caste consciousness in India
She did her B.A in Political Science from Ramjas College, Delhi University, and M.A in Politics (specialization in IR) from JNU, New Delhi. She is also a visiting research scholar at Boston University, USA. Her research area includes international politics, nationalism, religion, culture, and democracy. She also works on tribal and indigenous knowledge.
PhD Thesis: Green GDP Estimation and Forest Cover Dynamics in India: A Regional and Temporal Analysis with Implications for Sustainable Economic Growth
Shubham Payasi holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in commerce with a specialization in finance and economics from the University of Allahabad. His research interests include Green GDP, tribal livelihood, forest resource accounting, and ecosystem services valuation. Currently, he is focused on estimating Green GDP for India, with a special emphasis on Madhya Pradesh, utilizing ecosystem services valuation to explore the economic and environmental dimensions of sustainability.
