About Me

I am Prof. Pritee Sharma, a dedicated researcher and educator with a passion for exploring the intricate connections between natural resources and socio-economic factors. With a Ph.D. in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, my work focuses on the allocation and access to critical resources like land and water. I apply my analytical skills to address pressing issues in food systems, including food security, agricultural productivity, and rural poverty. My research extends to climate systems, where I investigate resilience and adaptive capacity in the face of climate change, particularly from the perspectives of urban and rural communities. Additionally, I have a keen interest in forest and fire management, examining their roles in ecosystem health and community resilience. Throughout my career, I have been committed to advancing governance, efficiency, and policy initiatives that contribute to sustainable development in India.
