Forecasted hydrological conditions

Note: The runoff and soil moisture, up to 30 days lead time, are simulated using well-calibrated and validated Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) model based on the precipitation and temperature forecasts from the Extended Range Forecast System (ERFS) of the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. The date highlighted in blue represent the current period from which 7, 15, and 30-day forecasts are made. The anomalies are estimated with respect to the long-term mean climatology (1951-present) for the highlighted period.
