µSYC: MICROwave SYstems and Circuits Group
DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER SCIENCES, INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY BHUBANESWAR
About µSYC:
The µSYC group (MICROwave SYstems and Circuits group; sounds like MUSIC, doesn't it?) is under the School of Electrical and Computer Science, at Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar, The group aims to take up challenging problems that address analytical and experimental issues in the broad areas of Radio Frequency and Microwave engineering. To put it briefly, we work with frequencies ranging from a few MegaHertz to a few GigaHertz. In doing so, we work with and design devices, circuits, and systems for the MHz to GHz range. Some of our areas of interest include high performance compact RF passives using distributed realization techniques, analytical modelling and development of RF passive device parameters, on-chip realization of RF measurement systems, multi-port reflectometry and more. We have several high end equipment and software that facilitates our design and experimental verification process.
Why µSYC?
If you are a passionate engineer who likes or wishes to dabble with fundamental, analytical, experimental, and application-oriented problems for the design of circuits and systems that find use in the physical layer of modern wireless and wireline communications, and other areas including subsystems for radars, satellites, antenna systems, test and measurement systems etc., then µSYC is the place for you. Our team members love to design, analyze, simulate, fabricate, and test these circuits and systems. In short, we love getting our hands 'dirty'! We are always on the lookout for good students at the Ph.D, M.Tech., MS (R), and B.Tech. levels. If you are looking for temporary positions such as internships or project-funded positions, take a look at our openings in this link!
