In my current research work, the primary focus is on three different areas which target building an efficient IoT system. The first goal is to address the scalability issue, which is a fundamental requirement in the performance of large-scale IoT/WSN systems. Next, is to address the heterogeneity issue, which aims to make standard communication protocols work on devices with different technologies and architecture. Finally, the topic of the intelligent edge will be addressed, which aims to make the edge devices intelligent thus reducing the amount of communication between the IoT-core and IoT-edge. During the first year of my research, I concentrated on the first goal, which targets developing strategies for making communication protocols scalable. A brief description of my research works is available here.
