Summer School on Open Source Geospatial Stack  'Open Stack'

The first Summer School on Open Source Geospatial Technologies will be organized by GISE Hub IIT Bombay from July 03 to 09, 2023. The first in a series of summer schools to be organized by GISE Hub focused on the capacity building in Open Source and Open Data for the geospatial sphere. This year the summer school will focus on three specific sectors - Transportation, Water-Agri, and Health. 

Open Source Geospatial Technologies promote local solutions to local problems along with capacity building and technology advancement. Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and Open Data (OD) is a major thrust area of the GISE Hub, and this event provides an opportunity for developers, students, researchers, industry and government to collaborate and explore geospatial tools and techniques. Distinguished speakers from across the world will join for the Summer School. 

The event is open to participants from across Asia-Pacific and will aim to achieve.

Registration and Participants:

Online applications for registrations will be open to all engineering professionals (Government, Non-Government, Industry and Academia). The summer school will be offered to select 20 participants, for each domain (Transportation, Water-Agri, Health).  Selected participants will need to pay the summer school fees to confirm their seats (INR 25,000 for domestic and $750 for international participants). Self-paid accommodation can be arranged on advance request.
