The Chemical Engineering Conclave brings together researchers and alumni to foster collaboration, strengthen connections, and advance the department’s research excellence.
The Research Scholars’ Symposium (RSS), started in 2007 and organised under the Chemical Engineering Association (ChEA), is the annual academic meet of the research scholars of the department. RSS brings together students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals to discuss ongoing research, share ideas, and build collaborations.

Chemical Engineering Department
IIT Bombay’s Department of Chemical Engineering is a major hub for research and education, supported by 45 faculty, 19 postdocs, and 200+ PhD scholars. Its research covers biological systems, soft matter, process systems, reaction engineering, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, computational chemistry, and nanomaterials, addressing challenges across healthcare, energy, materials, climate, and sustainability.
