I am Bhavesh Moorjani, a Prime Minister's Research Fellow (PMRF). I am working in the research area of molecular simulations under the guidance of Prof. Jhumpa Adhikari at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
My PhD topic is "Molecular insights into efficient methane recovery from gas hydrate reservoirs using carbon dioxide injection". This project is in collaboration with IOCL (via CoEOGE, IIT Bombay), and my co-guide is Dr Samik Kumar Hait from IOCL.
My research involves the use of molecular dynamics (MD) and Monte Carlo (MC) packages such as GROMACS, LAMMPS, and MCCCS-Towhee. I have sound knowledge of the fundamentals of molecular simulation and thermodynamics. Apart from this, I'm keen on learning more about the world of chemical engineering and process engineering, and design particularly interests me.
