Professional Experience

As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, I teach a variety of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Discrete Mathematics, Internet Technologies, and Advanced Programming. I strive to create an engaging learning environment using innovative teaching methods and hands-on projects. Additionally, I mentor students in their research endeavors and actively participate in curriculum development to align with industry trends. My goal is to inspire and prepare students for successful careers in technology. 

In my role as a Technology Teacher for middle school Engineering Technology, I developed curricula that met New York State, ITEEA, and NGSS standards. My responsibilities included grading, reporting, and managing technology classes. I actively engaged with the school community, leading extracurricular activities like the Underwater Robotics Club and Science Olympiad. Additionally, I played a key role in curriculum development for Technology Education and was a member of the Building Advisory Team, contributing to the remodeling of Iroquois Middle School to enhance the learning environment. 

At The New American Academy, I served as a Technology Teacher for grades K-5, where I taught technology aligned with CSTA standards. My responsibilities included grading and managing the technology class while fostering a positive school culture. I addressed minor technology issues and supported the school community in various initiatives. Additionally, I piloted the GirlsWhoCode program at the elementary level, encouraging young and at-risk students to explore coding and computer science, which helped to promote diversity in technology education.

At Coding Kidz, Inc., I worked as a Senior Instructor and Curriculum Designer, creating introductory programming courses in Scratch, Python, and Lego Robotics for middle school students. My curriculum emphasized making complex concepts accessible through interactive projects that encouraged creativity and critical thinking. Collaborating closely with the CEO, I helped enhance course materials and teaching methodologies to meet diverse learning needs. I also mentored students, fostering their passion for technology and coding. This experience reinforced my commitment to empowering young learners through effective technology education.
