In 2002, they were the first singers in Sri Lanka to sign a Music Publishing Contract with Universal Music Publishing, as well as the first singers in Sri Lanka to secure a recording contract with Sony BMG.
They composed and sang the Official Sri Lankan Cricket Anthem Apa jathiye naamayen for Sri Lanka Cricket in 2002.
They were the opening act at the 2010 IIFA Awards. BnS also co-wrote the opening music track for the IIFA Awards 2010 with Jananath Warakagoda.
They performed as folkhop ambassadors during the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup opening ceremony.
The first Sri Lankan singers to release a song with an Indian collaboration. In 2013, BnS released "Yaalpaanamen," a song starring legendary Indian singer Hariharan.
In 2001, they won a Silver Award from Voice of Asia, Kazakhstan as well as Bronze Prize at the Shanghai Music Festival in China.
In 2002, they won the Golden Clef Award for Best Fusion Band.
In 2007, they were awarded Most Popular Artist of the Year at the Sirasa Music Awards.
In 2014, they were runners-up for Best Music Video for Res Vihidena Samanaliyak at the Derana Music Video Awards.
They were awarded the prestigious Ada Derana "Sri Lankan" of the Year 2016 in the Entertainment and Arts Category.
They won the best VFX music video award at the Derana Music Video Award 2015 for "Lassana Desak."
