Where is the IISER Berhampur campus?
IISER Berhampur is located at Laudigam, near the city of Berhampur in Ganjam district, Odisha. The campus is about 12 km from the National Highway 16 (NH-16), which connects Berhampur to Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, and approximately 19 km from Berhampur Railway Station.
Are there two campuses - transit and main?
Yes, currently, we operate from two campuses. The permanent campus is located in Laudigam. The transit campus, situated in Berhampur next to the Govt. ITI Building, houses a few research and teaching laboratories, which will soon be relocated to the permanent campus.
Is there a transport facility between the campus and the city centre?
The institute regularly operates buses between the hostels and the transit campus in the city.
What public transport connects the campus with the city?
Public buses are also available for travel to local markets.
What is the nearest airport, railway station, and bus station?
The nearest railway station is Brahmapur (Note the spelling difference). The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar. The campus is connected to the public bus network. The main bus station is in the city (Berhampur).
What medical facility does the campus have?
We have a modern health center with both outpatient and in-patient facilities. It is equipped with a dispensary which provides basic and essential medicines free of cost. We have 2 general physicians and multiple specialist doctors are available on a weekly basis.
Are there hospitals in the city? Does the institute provide ambulance service?
MKCG (Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Medical College) is a government medical college and hospital in the city. There are multiple private clinics and speciality centers. The institute provides a 24x7 ambulance facility on campus.
Are there shops on campus?
Yes. We have a shopping complex on campus with a bakery/cafe, a stationery shop, a medicine shop, a barber shop, and a branch of the State Bank of India. A restaurant and other shops are expected to be open soon.

IISER Berhampur main campus is located around 18 Km away from the city Railway station.

You can either reach the campus by public transport (auto / bus) from the Railway station, or can drive following the direction suggested by Google maps
Special arrangements are usually made for new students for the admission day
The campus might seem too far but due to the excellent roads, it takes about 30 mins from the city
