Pravat Kumar Parida, Ph.D. Assistant Professor
Dr. Parida completed his bachelor's degree in Zoology from Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, in 2009. He then pursued a master’s degree in Life Science from NIT-Rourkela, graduating in 2011. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Bose Institute (affiliated with the University of Calcutta), Kolkata. In 2019, he joined Malladi lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, USA, to engage himself in cutting-edge research on breast cancer brain metastasis. This venture allowed him to contribute to the ongoing efforts to understand and combat cancer metastasis. Looking ahead, Dr. Parida research interests converge at the interface of Metabolic Diseases, Cancer Metastasis, Tumor Microenvironment and Drug Discovery. Through an integrative and systems-level approach, he aspire to contribute to the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies that transform patient care and advance precision medicine.
