About us

We, at the eChem Lab aim to carry out interdisciplinary  research in the areas of Chemical/ Electrochemical Engineering with focused applications in the domains of energy (milli-micro-nano watt power generation) and healthcare.

Our research group is interested in the the development of electrochemical/ bio-sensors on different flexible scaffolds and self-powered analytical devices for the qualitative/ quantitative analysis of different biomarkers, diagnostic applications and healthcare monitoring towards, cancer, liver and kidney-related diseases.  In addition to this, we are also exploring development and fabrication of electrochemical energy devices, such as, paper-based energy devices, direct alkaline fuel cells and bio-electrochemical systems. We aim to investigate their performances experimentally and theoretically via different modelling (mathematical/ kinetic) techniques based on COMSOL and MATLAB.
