Electrochemical Energy Devices and Sensors Lab
Electrochemical Energy Devices and Sensors Lab
We, at the eChem Lab aim to carry out interdisciplinary research in the areas of Chemical/ Electrochemical Engineering with focused applications in the domains of energy (milli-micro-nano watt power generation) and healthcare.
Our research group is interested in the development and fabrication of electrochemical energy devices, such as, paper-based energy devices, microfluidic and micro-direct fuel cells. These are specifically dedicated for the milli-micro-nano watt power generation for low-power consuming applications. We also aim to investigate their performances experimentally and theoretically via different modelling (mathematical/ kinetic) techniques. In addition to this, we are also exploring the development of electrochemical/ bio-sensors on different flexible scaffolds and self-powered analytical devices for the qualitative/ quantitative analysis of different biomarkers, diagnostic applications and healthcare monitoring.
