My research primarily involved application of major-, trace-element, and radiogenic isotope geochemistry couples with mineralogy and petrology to various Earth processes. I am also interested in developing novel proxies using isotope ratios of the relevant elements as tracers. Specific interests include -
· Isotopic and trace element geochemistry of continental flood basalt volcanic provinces petrogenesis of and associated alkali-silicic volcanism.
· Isotope geochemistry and REE mineralization in carbonatite complexes
· Chemical evolution of Earth's crust-mantle system and generation of mantle heterogeneities
· Studies of elemental mobility with increasing grades of metamorphism at different plate tectonic scenarios.
· Paleo-environmental reconstruction of sedimentary inter- and intra-trappean systems associated with the Deccan Volcanism.
· Method development for measuring various non-traditional stable isotopes using a MC-ICPMS and mineral chemistry using LA-ICPMS.
Some of the projects I am currently working on are listed below.
