Waterskiing

Activity

1 Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

2 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

Background

For some time I always wanted to learn to ski, ever since I turned 15 I wanted to try this sport out and had the opportunity when traveling to  Canada to learn to ski in the summer of 2021. Where I went to Algonquin park with my friends family, and every morning if the lake didn't have large waves we would head out and ski for a while after that if in the afternoon there was time we would head out again for round two.

Story

When starting I had a small fear that I had never skied before in my life and was scared of getting hurt knowing and having seen many people have gotten hurt doing this sport.

So when starting to do this sport had some falls but overall not to give up with some motivation from my friends and tricks I later figure to be able to stand only on one ski and later hoped to make tighter turns also known as cutting the water.

Reflection

If I fell sometimes it would hurt a lot since an average speed of 48 KPH. While still trying and getting back on the skis even though I had taken a good fall and was getting sores in my hand and some amount of pain having never done this or much exercise in the past I so having to push myself out of my comfort zone and become much better at the sport and hope in the future to do it more having more practice.
