Professor Biplav Srivastava
Professor Biplav Srivastava is a Professor of Computer Science at the AI Institute at the University of South Carolina. Previously, he was at IBM for nearly two decades in the roles of a Research Scientist, Distinguished Data Scientist and Master Inventor. Biplav is an ACM Distinguished Scientist, AAAI Senior Member, IEEE Senior Member and AAAS Leshner Fellow for Public Engagement on AI (2020-2021).

Prof. Dr. Dr. habil. Peter Struss obtained a Diploma in mathematics from the University of Göttingen and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Kaiserslautern and accomplished his habilitation in computer science at the Technical University of Munich. His research interest is in Artificial Intelligence with a focus on the development of foundations and environments for modeling and model-based problem solvers, esp. automated diagnosis, testing, failure-modes-and-effects analysis, as well as decision support systems in the area of ecological and environmental systems.
Prof. Dr. Dr. habil. Dr. Dr. habil Frederic Andres received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Paris VI "Pierre et Marie Curie”in 1993 and his Dr. Habilitation in Informatics from the University of Nantes in 2000.His main research areas of interest include several topics such as collective intelligence-based community management, early warning management, pedagogy and didactical web-based science education for all, intelligent cooking recipe computing and water crystal computing.

Prof. Pushpak Bhattacharyya, Fellow of National Academy of Engineering and A.P.J. Abdul Kalam National Fellow, is former Director of IIT Patna (2015-20) and Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department IIT Bombay where he also held the Vijay and Sita Vashi Chair Professorship. Prof. Pushpak Bhattacharyya has worked in all areas of Natural Language Processing- machine translation, sentiment and opinion mining, cross lingual search and multilingual information extraction. He combines linguistics, cognitive science and machine learning in a unique way.

His primary research interests include Network Science, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing and Data-driven cybersecurity.

He is enthusiastic about empowering machines with adaptive interaction ability that can improve the quality of life in health and social care.

He got his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Wright State University, Dayton, OH, USA in 2016. After his PhD, he worked as a Research Scientist at GE Global Research Center, Niskayuna, NY, USA. At GE Global Research, his work involved building knowledge graphs from unstructured and semi-structured data, along with using knowledge graphs for predictive analytics.

She is the Director of the Machine Learning and Healthcare Lab and is the founding research director of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. Her current research focuses on using HCI techniques in developing responsible AI in India, with a focus on marginalized communities. Specific sub-areas are data, fairness, privacy and abuse, and consent. She publishes in the fields of HCI, ICTD, and Privacy/Security.
