Design & Architecture Careers Experienceship

MSA Design is a Cincinnati firm practicing Architecture, Interior Design and Graphic Design. Their award-winning designs for educational institutions (IHSD) and local governments include projects like Summitt Park in Blue Ash and the Indian Hill-Madeira Joint Fire Station. They also work for private clients and designed Mita’s restaurant in downtown Cincinnati, for one example.

The MSA Design Experienceship will include two days of learning in their office and on a construction site. Two to three students per semester will be selected to receive an overview of design careers from a principal architect and other staff members over a two-day experience. Both days will take place in the span of a week in June or July, and will be scheduled with the firm once you are accepted. Topics for learning will include:

• Design thinking and the design process

• Project management

• Construction and field site visit

• Interior design overview

• Graphic design overview

• Career pathways exploration with current college interns
