Mrs. Bickraj originally comes from Pennsylvania where she graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Music Education and an emphasis in Instrumental Music.
Mrs. Bickraj also holds a Masters Degree in Teaching with an emphasis in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Marygrove College in Michigan. She has PreK-12 Certification in Music for the state of Maryland.
This is Mrs. Bickraj's 25th year teaching Music. She successfully directed the instrumental music program for 3 years at Southern Lehigh Middle School near Allentown, PA. She also enjoyed teaching PK-12 Music for 10 years at All Saints Cathedral School in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Upon settling in Towson, MD, she is now in her 12th year teaching PK-8 Music and Band at Immaculate Heart of Mary School.
Mrs. Bickraj was a proud marching band participant in the Tournament of Roses Parade, Rose Bowl, Citrus Bowl, Outback Bowl, and Blockbuster Bowl while attending Penn State University.
Her honors and memberships include: Sigma Alpha Iota Sword of Honor, Sigma Alpha Pi National Engaged Leader Award, Sigma Alpha Iota College Honor Award, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Floating Lions Club, and Penn State Alumni Blue Band.
Mrs. Bickraj is very happy to be in the IHM family and enjoys developing positive and lasting relationships with students, parents, and the community.
Mrs. Bickraj can often be seen traveling, playing instruments, decorating, reading, and doing craft projects. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their two sons.
