About the Teacher

Mrs. Lisa Ballance

I am so excited to be teaching your child this year. This will be my 15th year working with the Archdiocese of Baltimore. I taught Pre-K 3 at Saint John the Evangelist and taught Kindergarten for 3 years there as well. After my daughter was born, I wanted to work part time and a position opened up here at I.H.M. I was excited because not only is this my parish, but I also attended school here.

This is my 10th year here at IHM and I have worked with 1st and 2nd graders during my time here. I have two children. My son will be starting his Sophomore year at Loyola University in the fall. My daughter is a current 5th grader here at I.H.M. 

 My husband and I enjoy crabs and fishing. When I am not cheering on my children on in their sporting events, Soccer, Swimming, basketball, lacrosse and Water Polo, I enjoy reading and cooking. I can't wait to get to know each and every one of you. I love going to the beach and the pool. I love the pool so much that I worked at Campus Cabana this past summer.
