IHM Preschool Philosophy

God created children with a natural curiosity for learning new things. They learn through play, movement, experience, language, imitation, and motivation through positive reinforcement. We are committed to providing your child a safe, secure, and loving environment to discover and explore the world God created for us. Our goal is for your child to have a very positive preschool experience. We want your child to be enthusiastic about school and to learn more about getting along with and caring for others.

Tuesday and Thursday

8:00-8:30 am - Table Activities

- Check-In, Puzzles, Coloring, Play doh, Other Small Manipulatives

8:30-9:00 am - Circle Time

- Prayer, Story, Song, Sharing, Zoo Friend

9:00-10:00 am - Centers, Free Choice, Outdoor Classroom

- Small group activities to meet learning objectives

- Free play inside classroom

- Time in outdoor classroom exploring, engaging in free play, and working on projects/activities

10:00-10:30 am - Clean Up, Snack, Quiet Reading

10:30-11:00am- Outside Recess or Inside Activity

- Outdoor play (weather permitting) or inside music and movement activity

11:00 am - Dismissal
