Special Diamond Jubilee Edition

This special newsletter ‘Catcalls’ is rolled out on special occasions and was first published in 1984 . Starting in a humble way, Catcalls has grown in scale and size and captures the various facets of happening at our Alma Mater, the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering technology and Applied Nutrition (IHMCT & AN) located in Taramani, Chennai. The special Catcalls newsletter that will be published to mark the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of IHMCT & AN that will be held on 11th August 2023 at the Institute Campus in Taramani. This Newsletter captures various news and views of our Alumni and also will look at the way the Institute has shaped the careers of its students. The stories in this Special Edition will include edits penned by distinguished Alumni of the institute and how they have reached the pinnacle of success.

The Catcalls Special Issue will also look at how the institute has evolved over the last 60 years and the milestones that marked its journey. With memorabilia and photographs from the past and present, the Catcalls will have a kaleidoscopic view of the journey that the institute has travelled over the last six decades. 

The Catcalls will see a print run of 1000 copies, all of which will be a collector’s issue and treasured by our Alumni, many of whom are leading lights in the hospitality and other sectors. An e-paper version of Catcalls will be sent to our Alumni, who number thousands, in India and across the world.
