Educative Aspect

For our Educative Aspect, we did several things in order to get the attention we needed about our social justice issue, inside and outside of St. Ignatius. Firstly, we applied one of the most effective ways in order to communicate information, by word of mouth. All three of us used our free periods and lunch periods to inform and educate other students about our social justice issue. This included giving them a brief summary of our issue, showing them our website, giving them our contact information and finally asking for their support.

We also utilized this TED talk, emailing this to several people in order for them to become aware of our issue and hopefully be interested in supporting us.

We train soldiers for war. Let's train them to come home, tooBefore soldiers are sent into combat, they're trained on how to function in an immensely dangerous environment. But they also need training on how to return from the battlefield to civilian life, says psychologist Hector Garcia. Applying the same principles used to prepare soldiers for war, Garcia is helping veterans suffering from PTSD get their lives back.

Along with our work above, we also made this flyer in order to to hopefully draw in more passerbys and students in the halls. We posted this flyer all over St. Ignatius and we also emailed it to several students.
