Arribada a Finlàndia i al centre JEDU
The days leading up to our arrival in Nivala were quite long, as we traveled from Helsinki airport to a hotel quite close to it to spend the night and then go to Nivala the next day without worrying about being late for our mobility day.
Activitat 1: Introducció als estudis de Finlàndia
Upon arriving at the JEDU center, we were introduced to the teachers who would be helping us during our stay. The teachers who gratefully assisted us were Hannu, Elisa, and Kirsi,Together, they showed us how the teaching process worked at the center.
Once we had seen the entire center, the teachers explained where my partner and I could eat lunch during our half-hour break.
To end the day at the center, the teachers who teach the computer science program (Hannu and Pauli) gave us a short introductory lecture explaining how they organized the curriculum and also offered us a small practical exercise.
Activitat 2: Visita a les instal·lacions i altres disciplines
After finishing our day at the JEDU center, the teachers gave us a tour of a few things.
First, they showed us an activity center in the town called Uikko, which offers everything from a gym to a swimming pool and a bowling alley.
Next, they presented the project that my classmate Carlos would be working on during his next two weeks of mobility. It was called XXX, and his job involved scanning images to save photos and books that were no longer legible due to age.
After they presented my classmate's project, they took us on a short excursion near the town of Nivala.
On this short trip, two students from the center accompanied us to help us integrate better as students. It was a very pleasant experience, and they also showed us some traditional Finnish customs.

This day is dedicated exclusively to getting a little more familiar with the work routine in order to be more familiar with it. Once my only teacher showed me how I could proceed to create the map, he went to visit a construction site in which the JEDU students were part of the project. On the other hand, I began to experiment a little in the Wordpress tool to be able to make the page a little more varied and with better graphic presentation.

Today, professors Hannu and Pauli took us to a larger city and the closest to Nivala, Ylivieska, here they took us mainly to see how JEDU students did internships, and specifically how the computer sector could develop. They stated that the students made network installations in buildings typical of educational centers, in our case it was at the university. Before, they showed us what was studied at that university, and we were able to observe that at that university it was focused on technology, process automation programming and robotics. Lastly we went to an extension of the JEDU center that offered a degree in image and sound, image editing, civil security and lastly a degree in nursing.

This was the last day of our only teacher in Nivala, taking advantage of this, as I needed a little more support to be able to do my work, I agreed with my teacher to send him my project weekly to see my progress in the application. On the other hand, that day I had to start trying different WordPress extensions since by doing everything for free, it is difficult to get the results since they usually offer Limited experiences. One of the applications that helped me in my editing progress was Spectra, it is an extension that allowed me to generate some tabs to be able to switch between different maps
This week was a bit of an accommodation for me while my partner's days were running out. This week I took the opportunity to start seeing how I could integrate Spectra with a second extension called GeoDirectory to be able to have a design similar to those of other companies with a more specific website. I took museot.FI as a reference On the other hand, both Hannu and Elisa offered us to do different activities. Elisa offered us that some guys from Zaragoza could come see us, the problem was that since it was Carlos's last week and the schedules are more restrictive in Finland during the week, we couldn't see each other. On the other hand, Hannu took us with Anto Y Otto on an excursion so I could see what the coasts near Oulu are like. It was a quite pleasant experience and the truth is that Hannu has always attended to meritorious generosity.
Once my partner had left, it was my turn to change residence. This week was a little more difficult to manage since in part the company of a person that you see almost every day, when they get lost, is a little more difficult to manage day by day. This week I had a meeting with Marika and she helped me clarify many things about the project. She also gave me some access codes to her page Luototenkoja.fi and how she had it published on the Internet. She helped me have this talk since it was not Progress is the same as having the vision of the person who needs the final product it helped me a lot in being able to decide what type of custom icons she wanted and also how I could integrate it into her website. After this meeting she introduced me to a buffet area in which the truth is that it was very well adapted to people for vegan quen, this place was close to JEDU, so we were able to return at the established time, this place was called Ravintola Aitta
During this period(and throughout my period my work ), work focused on optimizing web infrastructure, resolving technical issues in local development environments, and automating workflows to improve user experience and data management. The actions taken are broken down below:
1. Frontend Development and Optimization of Interactive Maps With the aim of improving geographic visualization on the web, an interactive map script was debugged and corrected that had errors in loading and rendering its markers. After resolving the technical incident, a descriptive and structural guide to the website was written to document the behavior of its sections. Additionally, custom code was developed and refined in JavaScript focused on tab management and automating dynamic redirects based on user actions.
2. Administration of Local Development Systems and Environments To guarantee information security and continuity of development, database management and recovery tasks were carried out on the WordPress platform, ensuring the correct implementation of backup copies. In parallel, we worked on the configuration and resolution of technical conflicts on the local XAMPP server, achieving a stable test environment for the execution of changes before uploading them to production.
3. Process Automation (Platform Integration) An automated workflow was designed and implemented connecting the GeoDirectory listing tool with Zapier. Through this integration, it was possible to synchronize the transfer of information automatically between the web directory and other external applications, reducing manual work and optimizing system response times.
4. Technical Support, Documentation and Location In the field of file management, technical problems with synchronization and uploading of documentation in the cloud (Google Drive) were diagnosed and solved. Finally, in order to internationalize the developed tools, the translation, adaptation and writing in English of the technical descriptions of the different utilities of the website was carried out.
