Guidance in the Academic and Curricular Ecosystem of ICT Competence: Mastery and differentiation of the different training routes, specializations and existing study plans in the area of computing and telecommunications. Practical approach: You know how to identify precisely what types of qualifications exist (from IT support to software development) and how their courses and training modules are structured to respond to the required professional profiles.
Systems Integration and Workflow Automation What it consists of: Ability to connect different software platforms and independent databases so that they work together without manual intervention. Your practical application: Configure real-time data synchronization between the web directory (GeoDirectory) and external tools through Zapier, allowing a user action to trigger automatic processes.
Adaptability to the Management and Autonomy Model of VET Centers Competence: Operational understanding of the inner workings of vocational training centers in Finland, characterized by their flexibility, practical approach and student-oriented methodologies. Practical approach: Reflects your ability to function in modern competency-based learning environments, where time management, personalized learning and efficient use of the center's resources are essential.
Management, Recovery and Maintenance of Relational Databases What it consists of: Ability to manage and ensure data persistence on a server, including fault diagnosis and restoration of critical information. Your practical application: Manage local environments (XAMPP), run diagnostics on MariaDB/MySQL systems, and apply backup strategies to recover corrupted WordPress configurations and databases.
Understanding the Educational Framework and Positioning of the ICT Sector Competence: Ability to analyze and navigate the structure of the Finnish education system, strategically identifying the role, relevance and positioning of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) studies within the national qualifications framework. Practical approach: This shows that you understand how technical studies align with the demands of the Nordic labor market and European educational standards.
Geolocation Applied to Web Development and Bookmark Control What it consists of: Technical competence in implementing and customizing interactive maps using open source mapping libraries and directory management tools. Your practical application: Program, filter and render specific markers on maps based on user interactions, solving loading problems in information windows (infowindows) and the map.
Through this project I have learned that true web development goes far beyond writing code; It involves connecting complex systems through automation and mastering data persistence in the event of any failure. Working on the integration of maps, databases and tools like Zapier has allowed me to transform abstract ideas into real and functional technical solutions. Furthermore, understanding this process through the prism of the Finnish educational model has taught me the value of autonomy, rigorous documentation and eminently practical learning. In short, I have consolidated my ability to diagnose problems with logic and solve them with modern and efficient tools.
