The 2nd Learning, Teaching and Training Activity - Mens sana in corpore sano

On Monday, 3rd October 2022 the Italian teachers and students have welcomed the French Delegation. Speaking activities in French have been organized: the school community has hosted the French girls and teachers, sharing with them their daily school life.

On Tuesday, 4th October 2022 Italian students with their hosts has arrived at school and gone in their own class/classrooms taking part to their ordinary timetable and, after the Welcoming ceremony. Ice breaking activities have taken place – Students have introduced each other and shared pictures and information about themselves and their own cultural roots and home places. The following activity has been the GREEN LAB – FROM RE-FUSE TO RE- USE: Art and Crafts Laboratory. At lunch time the school has managed a typical ITALIAN LUNCH, thanks to Italian hosting families. In the afternoon there has been a walking tour through the old town, a visit to the Castle, the meeting with the Major and the local authorities together with the visit to the town hall and the local theatre.

On Wednesday, 5th October 2022 Italian students with their hosts have arrived at school and gone to the LABORATORIO INFORMATICA to have a quickly overview on Karst Phenomenon and Matera 2019 OPEN FUTURE – The 2019 European capital of Culture, then the group has left to Matera by bus and the rest of the morning there has been a Walking Tour in the town. In the afternoon different activities have taken place at school: the Teachers’ meeting in the School Library, Sport Activities in the School Gym and a Workshop: The Mediterranean Diet – TAKE A STEP INTO ORGANIC LIFE: Food laboratories: How to prepare dairy products in the school SCIENCE LABORATORY.

On Thursday, 6th October 2022 Italian students with their hosts have arrived at school and gone to the LABORATORIO INFORMATICA for a quick overview on the daily walking tour – Nature and Art hints in order to be ready to the visit to the archeological site in Monte Sannace, about ten km far from Gioia del Colle -Trip by local bus and on foot. In the afternoon there has been a Teachers’ Meeting in School Library Room and a Workshop: The Mediterranean Diet - TAKE A STEP INTO ORGANIC LIFE with Food laboratories about Olive oil, Vine and cheese in the SCIENCE LABORATORY. The day has had and happy end with the Official Dinner with Pizza and Karaoke.

On Friday, 7th October 2022 in the morning children have played following the motto “I CARE” - Art (Photos and drawings of Nature) Laboratories. Lunch at school thanks to Italian hosting families. In the afternoon teachers and students, divided in mixed teams have taken part to street games called “THE EMPEROR’S DOORS” - a walking through Medieval Age, sport activities, orienteering, activity games in the old town, treasure hunt and riddle games.

On Saturday, 8th October 2022 the Erasmus group has left by train to Bari for a walking tour in Bari with the visit to the old town to live a happy and joyfulSaturday.

On Monday, 9th October 2022 the Italian teachers and the French group has left by train to Taranto for a walking tour in Taranto with the visit to the old town to live a sunny Sunday waiting for the flight back home.
