Art And Drama

Language: English Spanish Italian French

Art is an essential part in our education system. However, we cannot pay special attention to it on daily basis. Cross-curricular activities are a good way of doing it. Appart from this, we would like to increase the weight of Art in our daily lessons. This situation is even more emphasized with drama.

In the previous years we have been developing EU funded projects on Science (Research in the High School), Social Science (Youngs on the move) and ICT (Augmented Reality for you). It is the right time to start a project focused on Arts and Humanities. We are interested in a combination of Art and Drama.

A brief description:

Three schools take part in the partnership: IES Juan Gris in Spain, Istituto Omnicomprensivo Nicola da Guardiagrele in Italy and Lycée Jean de la Fontaine in France. Each school has selected an important painting for each country:

• Spain: “Fusilamientos del 3 de Mayo” by Francisco de Goya

• Italy: "Ultima Cena" by Leonardo da Vinci

• France: "Le Bal du Moulin de la Galette" by Renoir

Each school has written a script for a play that includes the scene of the painting. The guiding line of this erasmus project is the performances of those three plays. For that, we will have three meetings/learning activities with all the schools when the main performance of each painting will take place. Each performance will have actors from the three schools, who previously have been working online on the rehearsals.
