Our students at year 2 used their knowledge in past tenses to prepare timelines in groups. Our teacher assistant, Ben, gave them the imput to start their projecrs, so that they could learn about the fight in favour of civil rights in the United States of America. This project's aim is not only linguistic, but also historical and social. Thus, we need to learn about the past to appreciate better the social conquests of the present and the importance of preserving them in the future. Please, take a look at our student's work in the pictures below.

William Shakespeare, the most important of all English writers, passed away on the 23rd April 1616. For this reason, English speaking countries celebrate World Book Day in this date as well.
With these images (created by @teacherteacup) we want our students to think about the connection between literature and the series that they usually watch and love.
