With these images we conclude the Erasmus+ mobility in San Severo, Italy.
Thanks to the Florentinum Flag and Music Group, Insieme pero Fiorentino and Associazione Borgo Antico Torremagiore, today they have learnt about the historical and monumental heritage of Torremagiore: its castle, the history of how they communicated through the different movements of flags and then toured the historic center.
They ended the day with the delivery of mobility certificates and were given a t-shirt of the town made by one of the mothers.

The Erasmus students who are participating in the mobility in San Severo (Italy) have learned about the historical heritage of this city today.
They began by visiting the Villa Comunale "Luisa Fantasia", a historic place where they interacted with other young people of their age as it is the meeting point in their free time, where they exchange experiences practicing English.
Then they visited several churches and as a main feature they observed the different frescoes with religious motifs that characterize them.
They continued by visiting the town hall, where they were able to learn more about European politics since this weekend the European elections are hold as well as the local elections of San Severo.
Finally they were able to visit the "Giuseppe Verdi" theater, a great cultural center of San Severo.

Today the Erasmus+ group visited the cultural capital of the province of Puglia for 2024, Monte Sant Angelo, starting with a visit to the Sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel and then wandering around the streets of the town.
Before lunch, we observed the mountains of the Gargano National Park from its viewpoints and to finish the visit we walked through the Castello Normanno Svevo Aragonese enjoying the great historical and monumental heritage of the surroundings of San Severo.

Today our Erasmus students attended a talk about bullying and then used empathy in an activity about this topic, practicing positive and negative actions among themselves.
They also made a poster in which both schools joined against bullying.
Then they spent the morning at Poste Faugno, an organic farm with olive, wheat and tomato plantations, among others, where they experienced the benefits of classical music for plants. They also had a bread with olive oil and cheese breakfast as well as drinking pomegranate juice, everything hand made in the farm.
They were able to learn about the different activities that are done on an organic farm as well as sustainable practices and renewable energies such as wind and solar power.

Today, Monday, the I.C. Palmieri - San Giovanni Bosco welcomed the Spanish Erasmus students with open arms!!!
The students took a tour around the school, where they met their Italian classmates and worked on oral communication in another language.
Then they had a brunch organised by one of the Italian mothers, to whom we thank for her hospitality.
This week they will delve into Italian and therefore European culture, improving their intercultural awareness.

Today we have started our last Erasmus+ mobility with students during this school year.
This time, we are travelling to San Severo (Italy) to discuss issues such as bullying and learn about the historical, monumental and environmental heritage of the area.

Today we conclude another Erasmus week, where students have learned more about the monumental heritage of our surroundings, worked on the environment and dealt with current problems such as bullying.
Today they have visited the city of Cádiz.

Today, the Erasmus+ group showed the host students from San Severo our coastline and the birds that nest in this area. They played cooperative games on the beach and visited the Ice Factory, where they learned about the history of Juan Sebastián Elcano and Magellan.

Today, the Erasmus+ group from Sanlúcar and San Severo started the day doing various activities about bullying and learned how it is prevented through the Wellbeing Network created in our centre. Afterwards, they continued the day learning about the heritage that exists in the upper district of our city.

They had a wonderful day and the Italian students were delighted with our capital.

This week we have welcomed Erasmus students again, this time it is the G. Palmieri - San Giovanni Bosco institute from San Severo (Italy) that is visiting us.
Today, we have shown them our school as well as the cultural and monumental heritage of the Barrio Bajo of our town.
During these days we will work with them on topics such as bullying and human rights.

First day of classes in May and last month in which we will enjoy our language assistants Alyssa and Sam in this course.
We leave you a review of what they have been doing these past few days with the students; learning statistical parameters in mathematics, reviewing the nervous and hormonal system with a Jeopardy in biology, reviewing structures to contrast and compare in English. In addition, they have had the opportunity to accompany our Erasmus+ students on the hiking route from Valdevaqueros to Bolonia to later visit Baelo Claudia, as well as on the visit to Seville.

We have just finished the Erasmus + activities with Barcelos and today we have started the activities with the San Severo institute (Italy).
We have held an online meeting with the group of students from the Italian institute to get to know each other and start working on the activities of the project.

Today was a day of work and farewells for the Erasmus team... The students performed different plays about human rights and then it was time for the inevitable farewell between our boys and girls... A day of tears... but we hope that this experience will be unforgettable for them.

Today our students have worked on both the environmental heritage by learning about the geography and geology of our province, following the Valdevaqueros trail, and the historical heritage, visiting the ruins of Baelo Claudia.

Yesterday was a busy day for our Erasmus students.
They started the day by showing the monumental heritage of the area and then worked on human rights by creating theatres about them for a future recreation.
After breakfast they went to the Bonanza salt flats to learn about the great importance they have in our city and... they saw the flamingos!
Next, one of our main Erasmus students, José Luis del Río, a retired teacher, wanted to accompany us to tell the students about environmental issues on the coast, taking a fun photo of the mobility.
Last but not least, we had a wonderful time with the families, whom we thank in capital letters for all the effort that this entails.

Today, Monday, we have officially welcomed our Portuguese colleagues from Barcelos (Portugal) with whom we have been working for several school years within the Erasmus + project.
We began with a welcome ceremony by our principal, D. Juan Carlos López Torres and our viceprincipal, Dª. Plácida Lobato Rodríguez, and then we headed to visit our emblematic Santiago Castle.
We were then received at Sanlúcar city council by the mayor Dª Carmen Álvarez and the culture delegate.
Lunch, as always, wonderful at La Espuela III, and we finished with a tour of the upper and lower neighborhoods, showing the great monumental heritage of our city.

Two days after Easters, we are back at full capacity with Erasmus+.
Yesterday we had a very busy afternoon of meetings: with the families of the students who participated in the mobility to Portugal, to know their impressions and organize the reception that will take place next week, the second meeting with the families of the students who will host and carry out the mobility to Italy throughout this last term to inform them about the objectives of the project, and finally, coordination meeting of the school's Erasmus team.

Yesterday was a day of farewell, hugs, tears, of wishing that the experience lasted a little longer. Work has been done on the environment, heritage, they have practiced languages, interculturality, etc. but above all they have enjoyed it, they have lived together and they have had experiences that will remain in their memory forever thanks to the Erasmus+ program.

After our visit to learn about the historical and cultural heritage of Porto, our boat ride on the Douro River, seeing the Clérigos Tower and enjoying good music next to the Lello bookstore, we finished with a family photo at the Station. Taking advantage of the Erasmus+ experience and all the cultural enrichment it brings us until the last minute.

While part of the Erasmus+ students work, learn and enjoy the experience in Barcelos (Portugal), the rest continue working and preparing for the receptions that we will carry out in April and May, and the next mobility that we have scheduled.

Today, our Erasmus students visited part of the environmental heritage of the area and learned about the history of the beginnings of Barcelos, thus fulfilling our objectives.
They started the day by visiting the Castro San Lorenzo Interpretation Center, where they knew how the ancient settlers lived and the Galician control point.
They walked along the Cavado River, on one side of the Fáo River and on the other Esposende and ended up visiting Viana do Castelo and its costume museum, falling more in love with Portuguese culture.
These are some unforgettable days for them.

The students participating in the mobility to Barcelos thanks to the Erasmus+ program had a very full day today. He has participated in a conference on sustainability and climate change, one of the main themes of our project, he has visited the Olaria museum, and he has enjoyed the ceramics museum workshop, where he was able to paint his own tile. In addition, he has learned more about Portuguese culture thanks to musical performances, even learning Portuguese dance. Erasmus+ is going to be something unforgettable for them.

We start a new Erasmus+ adventure in Barcelos (Portugal). Today our Erasmus+ students have started the working days after the welcome at the Portuguese center @aeaf.edu.pt.
They have presented the Andalusian and Portuguese environmental heritage, thus practicing the expression and oral comprehension of English, and in the afternoon they have visited the institute's mechanics VET and toured the streets of Barcelos with an archaeologist to learn about the cultural and historical heritage of the area, two of our objectives within the Erasmus project.

The topics included in our Erasmus+ project are worked on throughout the school year in the different subjects. These last weeks, we have focused on collecting information related to the different areas of environmental importance in our region, and the students who travel to Portugal next Sunday have made an enormous effort rehearsing during the breaktime the exposition they will do next Monday in Barcelos and organizing many other activities that will be carried out within the project.

Our language assistant Samuel has been talking about one of the main sports in the USA, American football, during the 1st ESO English class.
Our students are not just learning and practising English, they are also knowing many differents aspects of American history, cultural, customs, sports, etc, thanks to the help of the language asstistants.

Our language assistants are at full capacity. These days, Alyssa has helped the Maths teachers review fractions in 1st ESO and has collaborated with the Biology teacher to discuss the topic of drugs as well as their effects and consequences in 3rd ESO.
Meanwhile, Samuel has collaborated so that students learn vocabulary to describe themselves in English with 3rd ESO, he has talked about forces and structures in the technology classes of 2nd ESO and has described to 4th Diversification the main monuments and places of interest in Missouri, where he comes from.

Organised by the English Department, 1st ESO students have visited Jerez's ZOOBOTÁNICO, together with their teachers and the language assistants.
As a bilingual school, we have done part of the visit in English, being assisted by the zoo director himself.
Nature and environment are also topics included in our Erasmus+ project.

Every year, Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November in the USA. Alyssa and Samuel have been telling the students the origin of this tradition, how they celebrate it with their families, and thay have even shared some typical recipes so that students not only know about their language but also about their culture.

Today, Friday, 1st ESO students have worked in collaboration with the language assistant on English terms related to volcanoes (since they are learning about topography in geography). After doing several interactive activities in groups (EDUCAPLAY), they watched a video of the animated movie “VOLCANO”, and worked on the lyrics of the song with a “fill the gaps” activity.

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

Today we have celebrated the European Day of Languages in our school. All courses have carried out enjoyable and fun activities thanks to which they have better known Europe, its linguistic and cultural diversity. Some have made maps that include expressions, greetings, etc. in different European languages, while others have carried out online activities.

The course has not started yet and we have had the privilege of receiving recognition as an Erasmus+ accredited center until 2027. A project that we have achieved thanks to the work and effort of a group of teachers and our students.
