Test Preparation
Have a positive mindset.
"I can do this!"
Spread out studying.
Do sample problems, look over notes, make flashcards, and more a little each night.
Make a picture of what you are studying in your head.
Get moving everyday to help your brain.
Get 8-10 hours of sleep each night.
Relax.
Even during a test you can take a mini mental-vacation by imagining a happy place for you for a couple minutes.
Read directions slowly.
On the MCAs you can have it read to you by clicking the play button on the right side of the screen.
Scan the test to see how long it is, so you can estimate how long you should take on each question (if the test is timed).
Write down important things you may have needed to memorize.
Do easy questions first.
Use the Bookmark button on the MCAs to mark the harder ones, so you remember to come back to them.
This will build your confidence and help you feel warmed up for the harder questions.
On multiple choice, cross off the incorrect answers so they do not distract you.
Check a random 5.
When you are done, go back and check 5 random questions to make sure they are correct.
