Job Descriptions
Time Commitment
This is a full-time temporary position.
We expect to be notified immediately if for any reason you can not accept the position or if your availability changes.
All schedule conflicts must be addressed with your manager prior to the offer; any time off requests after may not be accepted.
Pay
Pay is non-negotiable
Payday is every Friday
Transportation or parking permits are not provided by iD Tech
The pay rate for Summer Staff Training (SST) is hourly and may differ from your regular rate depending on your training location
Work Hours
Commuting staff: the typical workweek is between 45-50 hours/week
Overnight staff: the typical workweek is between 60-70 hours/week. You will be scheduled for 2-3 nights off during your workweek.
Extended hours will be required during the first week and last weeks of camp
If you are working during a camp's last week, expect your final Friday to end at 9PM to ensure the site is packed and cleaned
There are no overnight stays on final Friday of camp. Be sure to make accommodations on your own if needed
Meals
Free lunch every day!
Overnight staff also receive breakfast and dinner on weeks you are scheduled to work overnight. If you are not scheduled to work overnight hours on any given week, you will not receive this additional perk that week.
Locations, Courses & Schedule
You will receive access to your schedule four weeks before your location starts.
Location(s) and courses will be determined based on your qualifications and client course demand.
Staff typically work an average of 5-7 weeks of camp. Your number of weeks is not guaranteed.
Weekend Housing and Working Weekends (If Applicable)
You may elect to stay on Friday and Saturday nights for an $80 charge every weekend, regardless of whether or not you stay or just leave your belongings in the room.
This cost does not include meals
Staff who are scheduled to work weekends at available weekend sites will receive free room and board and additional pay

You'll receive an email notification to log in to your Job Account to complete your offer letter and paperwork.

**Our People Services team will be conducting a criminal background check as well as calling your references. Favorable passing of all screenings is required for your offer to remain valid.
Please accept your job offer within 2 days.
You should have received an email with a written offer and link to accept the position.
You have 2 days to sign your written offer but we appreciate your decision as soon as possible.
If preferred, we can schedule a call to talk about your questions, and review your offer ahead of acceptance.

Complete your required employment paperwork within 3-5 business days.
This paperwork includes tax forms, documents, references, and other information needed to proceed in your employment with iD Tech.

Please email me your receipt within three weeks of your offer call.
Will you need a work visa in order to work with us?
Staff that are not US citizens or Green Card holders typically require a specific work authorization document in order to work with us.
This includes those who are in the US on an F-1 student visa.
Please reach out to your manager right away if this applies to you so we can make sure the proper work authorizations are in place.
Please email your RM your course confirmation details within a week of accepting the offer to ensure you are taking the correct course.
A CPR & First Aid certification is required for ALL management staff (including lead instructors). Certifications must be submitted by May 1st and must cover:
Adult CPR
Pediatric/ Child CPR
First Aid
Course must be taken in-person or in a blended format (online + in-person skills component)
Approved Courses:
American Red Cross "Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED" Course
We will accept the American Red Cross's online course with an in-person skills test
American Heart Association "Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED" course with Child CPR Module
We will accept the American Heart Association’s online course with an in-person skills test and the Child CPR module completed
Staff Corner
Staff Corner is our online hub for everything you need to have a successful summer - customized tasks, fun videos, policies, procedures, and online trainings.
Summer Staff Training (SST)
Instructors & Lead Instructors Only
You will receive an email regarding Summer Staff Training. This will be a hybrid training - half independent, half on zoom. The Zoom portion will take place over a weekend.
The online training (via Zoom) is mandatory for all staff.
You should join training from a quiet, professional setting with your camera ON. Please do not join from a mobile device, vehicle, or other distracting setting.
If these expectations are not met, a trainer will ask you to leave training and it may jeopardize your employment with iD Tech.
Summer Staff Training weekend is mandatory for all new staff and returning staff working in a new role this summer.
You will be compensated for your time. The pay rate for SST is hourly and may differ from your regular rate.
Management Only (Camp Directors, Assistant Directors, Health Directors)
As we get closer to summer, you will receive an email to RSVP for Management Regional Staff Training, a weekend long in-person training.
Regional Staff Training (RST) is mandatory for all new Directors and returning directors working in a new role.
You will be compensated for your time. The pay rate for RST is hourly and may differ from your regular rate depending on your training location.
You will be reimbursed for approved travel to your training location. Housing and meals will be provided for the weekend. Housing will be on a university campus.
It is crucial that you respond within 48 hours to communications regarding SST.

On-Site Orientation & Lab Set-Up
On-site orientation is typically the weekend before the first week of camp.
Management is required to attend lab set-up and computer delivery, typically the 2-3 days before orientation.
Instructors may be required to attend lab setup and/or orientation before camp begins.
Be feedback-oriented. You can expect to give and receive both positive and constructive feedback. We aim to constantly improve how we approach our work and feedback is an integral part of our growth. This goes for us, too. We hope that you will feel comfortable approaching us with feedback while we work together.
Be flexible. We work in a fast-paced environment where things can change on a minute-to-minute basis. In order to meet the needs of our students, their families, and each other, we must be nimble when it comes to change.
Be collaborative. As a team we must have each other's backs. This means you must be willing to jump in and help the team if there's a need.
Be solution-oriented. If you're having a hard day and you need to vent, talk to your direct supervisor. In those conversations, we are also going to encourage you to bring solutions to the table. We are partners in problem-solving!
Be responsive. During your onboarding process and as we get closer to your start date, you can expect a lot of communication from your Manager and our People Services team. Please respond promptly (within 24 hours) to any requests requiring your attention. If you find yourself swamped, please let us know when you will be able to respond. Clear and constant communication will help us help you.
