This client kept nothing from his old apartment except for his art collection - paintings by Derek Reist that he had acquired over some thirty years - and a leather-bound set of the complete works of Shakespeare that he had inherited from his father. The collection inspired the design, which includes neoclassical architectural furnishings as well as colors found in the paintings.
