Calling All Teachers @ Ditmas! Here is our Computer Science 4 All Vision!
- Prepare students for a specialised HS or a HS that offers an AP Computer Science course.
- Have every student and teacher receive at least 2 weeks or the equivalent of one Unit of CS in a specified subject. The PD leads will co-teach in the classroom with the teacher as a way to model the lesson.
- In 3 years at least 50% of staff should be comfortable doing at least one unit lesson (in their curriculum) using computer science.
In the 2017-2018 School Year, Ditmas asked for volunteers to do a period of code in their classroom.
We always have high expectations from Ditmas staff, and we were Right!
It was a great success. Over 70% of students and staff accomplished this mission!
