Carrot's a regular nobody from a modest background trying to climb the ladder in a system he doesn't really believe in. He processes this internal conflict (reflected by his dual loyalties to The Boss and Carrot Senior) in his secret late-night blog.

Messenger Bill is a no-nonsense, hard working guy just making his way in the world today. The other thing about Messenger Bill is that we only ever see his hands, so that could be fun?

Two of these mysterious creatures come to Adams's aid after he rises underground. As Adams learns upon winning a VHS copy of the documentary History and Habits of the Pillbug in battle, they communicate by emitting gaseous odors which evoke personal memories.

After a sudden trap-dooring, Adams marinades in Eunicorp chemical waste for weeks before emerging with fuzzy memories, terrifying powers, and a gnawing rage. As he tells The Boss in the Season 1 finale: Adams is dead. Call me ... The Fallen!
