NPS Certified Since September 2023
According to the California Department of Education (CDE) a Non-Public School is a “specialized private school that provide services to public school students with disabilities. EC Section 56034 defines an NPS as a private, nonsectarian school that enrolls individuals with exceptional needs pursuant to an individualized education program. The tuition of a student enrolled an a Non-Public School is paid for by the local school district that places the student at the NPS based on the student’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP). Unlike other private schools, each NPS is certified by the CDE.” As a Non Public School we do not accept private payments by parents for tuition or any other services.
Weekly field trips within walking distance or within the city limits. Montly outtings as social rewards to place like bowling alleys and arcades. End of the year trips to theme parks such as Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm.
We Offer 8 Period Block Schedules for High School Students who need credit recovery or for students who need a study skills class to support their educational needs.
We use our 501c3 non profit status to provide for family based outings within the community. Recent local events include Angels Baseball Games at Angel Stadium.
Our Strategic Reintegration System allows for students to transition into and out of a non-public school setting seamlessly so that the least restrictive environment is maintained.
With frequent communication, students and parents have meaningful input on the student's education.
Students choose what they learn from approved lessons and use project based learning to demonstrate student's IEP goals to be met.
We ensure our students are generalizing their goals across setting so students can be successful in their home, and in the community.
