8th Grade Band

Grades: 8

Prerequisites: 7th grade band  or successful audition

This class refines and expands skills learned in 7th grade band. Students also have new instrument options. Woodwind players can choose to play alto sax, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, bass clarinet, and bassoon in addition to instruments offered in 7th grade band. Brass players can choose French Horn (double-horn), trombone, and tuba in addition to instruments offered in 7th grade band. This group uses Accent on Achievement, book1 and 2.  All students are expected to have an instrument with case and name tag, all appropriate supplies, band binder with music in sheet protectors, 2 number 2 pencils, ultra-fine expo markers,
