Crew Details
11/1 Email from Katy (stage manager) - with updates!
Hello!
My name is Katy, and my pronouns are she/her. I am the stage manager for Beetlejuice Jr, and I I would be glad to answer any questions about the details in the following information about the crew, or the show in general. Please read to the end of this email, as there is a lot of information covered.
Crew assignments:
As Ms. Shululu said in her email, crew assignments have been officially decided! You can find them on this document; Beetlejuice Crew Assignments but below is further information about what each job entails. Please let me know that you are okay with your assignment as soon as possible.
Run crew-Run crew is another more specific name for stage crew. It entails moving set pieces when directed to by ASM’s, and consistently being in the wings during showtime and tech week rehearsals.
Props-Doing props entails that you will be backstage or in the wings as needed. Starting at load-in on November 3rd, you will be making 2 prop tables, which is labeling and organizing props based on where they are needed for the show. It is also extremely important that you make sure the props are always all accounted for, and that the actors have them at the right time.
Makeup/costume crew-This job entails that you prep actors prior to the show in doing various forms of makeup, and/or aiding in costumes as well. During the show, you will follow the directions from Liz Kitney (who is often in the backstage costume shop), as emergencies and changes will need to get fixed during the show. More specific jobs will be decided later.
Front of house-These tech people would not be called until the show weekend. The various jobs would be with adults as well, which more information will be sent out on later. These jobs include being an usher, working with tickets, and working with concessions. A more specific schedule entailing when front of house workers are doing jobs will be sent out soon.
Please confirm your role by responding to this email by Nov 6th at 3:30pm, if you haven’t already confirmed.
When you are called:
All tech crew besides the front of house crew are called this Sunday, November 3rd at 2-4pm. I understand that this is late notice, so please let me know if you can't come. You are not called on Monday the 4th.
The following schedule will also likely be on the website as well, but it is what is planned leading up to the show weekend. All crew besides the front of the house crew are called below, unless specified otherwise.
November 3rd at 2-4pm- Load-in, run crew and props crew only - orientation and the start of tech crew.

November 9th at 11-5pm - Dry tech and first rehearsal with cast and crew (Tech week begins!)
November 10th at 12:45-4 - Tech stumble through
November 12th-15th at 3:40-8- Rehearsal, tech week.
