This post is meant to expand on some of the topics covered in the Thriving in Middle School Parent Night. It was our intention to record the presentation, however we ran into some technical issues. Don’t worry though, we’ve figured things out so that our next Parent Night will be recorded and ready to post for those who were not able to attend!

They give helpful advice on all of these adjustments that can be sudden and intimidating.


Technology Addictions. It is something that counselors are seeing in children and adults, alike. This article (https://bit.ly/33CKEHN) tells it like it is, challenging parents to set safe boundaries for their kids while also setting boundaries for themselves. The author gives 6 helpful hints on how to set boundaries at home.

Changing bodies, one of the biggest middle school topics. It’s something that causes stress in the minds of boys and girls alike.
