Meet the ICSAtlanta School Counselors:
Heather Appleby Johnson, M.Ed., LAPC, NCC
Hello friends! My name is Mrs. Appleby Johnson and I am the Lead School Counselor. I am a proud ICSAtlanta Wolf and am in my 8th year at our school!
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Georgia College and State University (Go Bobcats!). I completed my Masters of Education in School Counseling at Georgia State University (Go Panthers!) I love being a school counselor and working closely with my students each and every day. In my free time, I like to go on hikes with my son, husband, and my two dogs, read, and do lots of crafts!
Jenna Buggs, M.Ed.
Hi! My name is Jenna Buggs, and I am the Lower Campus School Counselor. I graduated with my Masters in Education in School Counseling at Georgia State University. (Go Panthers!) I could not be more excited to be start my adventure here at International Charter School of Atlanta.
I have a huge heart for supporting kiddos with emotional, social, and academic needs. When I am not at work, I love going on long walks, reading, and spending time with friends. I look forward to working with you and your kiddo this year!
Shauya Lewallen, M.Ed., NCC
Hello! I am Ms. Lewallen, and I am thrilled to spend another great year with the ICSAtlanta family as the Upper Campus School Counselor!
After graduating from Georgia State University with a B.A. in psychology, I entered the world of education to explore my passion for school counseling. In 2021, I completed my Master of Education in Professional Counseling (with a concentration in school counseling) at the University of West Georgia. Outside of school, I love being outdoors with my dogs and husband, attending local festivals, and watching movies.
