Create a college-going culture

Building a college-going environment based on early college awareness helps students gain the confidence to aspire to college and teaches them resilience to overcome challenges along the way. Students who are in a college-going environment are more likely to believe that college is a realistic goal. 

Career Resources

BizKid$ (Grades 3rd, 4th & 5th) The site provides business vocabulary in kid-friendly terms. Students can make career decisions to save, earn interest, and move to each level through three different interactive games provided. 

Career Awareness Videos (K-5th Grade) A YouTube playlist of different careers.

Career Bingo (K - 3rd Grade) The BINGO activity can help students to become more familiar with agriculture related careers. There is and element that allows students to match careers with the job definition, as well as provide discussion questions. 

Career Walk the Plank (2nd - 5th Grade) Students can guess the letters hidden in a word or phrase related to different careers. If they don't guess all of the letters correctly, their pirate must walk the plank.

CIA Spy Kids (K - 5th Grade) Here students can learn what the Central Intelligence Agency does and how they do it. It provides links to help students learn about the CIA, the various jobs available in the CIA, and how to become a CIA expert.  It also provides fun stories and games.

Family Tree of Careers (2nd - 5th Grade) A printable family tree worksheet that allows students to fill in the careers of their family members. 

NASA For Kids (K - 5th Grade) You can find materials that help inform students on space exploration, what it is to be an astronaut as well as a work book for the Junior Pilot Program.

National Geographic Kids (3rd - 5th Grade) Allows students to explore the world of science, and nature through videos and activities. While not career specific, it can be a helpful tool to spark an interest for future scientists.
