Chemistry workshop, Monday, March 28th
During the first morning in Gdansk School, students had a chemistry workshop. They were divided into four groups. In groups they had to prepare different, yet very interesting experiments and then write the observations, conclusions and reactions on previously prepared sheets of paper. At the end of workshops the chemistry teachervshowed two experiments, which the students definitely enjoyed. The workshop were very interesting, enjoyable and - most importantly - we gained knoledge about something new.

Experiment Science Centre, Thursday, March 31st
When we arrived at Gdynia, the guides divided us into five groups and one of these was composed by the teachers!
Game started next to the cable car station of Gdynia and finished next to the entrance of Gdynia Aquarium.
We had two different maps: one was a topographic map of Gdynia and the other one a collection of 12 photos, the checkpoint. By combining the views we found during the walk with the photos it was possible to reach the next checkpoint. At the end won team number 2.
Experiment Science Centre is a space for creative experimentations with interactive exhibitions.
This place invites everyone to discover and explore the world. The Centre organizes science shows, workshops, events; it engages, teaches and entertains.
Our students participated in a workshop on renewable energies: in the first experiment they had to use organic material, a potato, to produce energy; during the second experiment, they built a rudimentary instrument with blades in order to simulate wind energy; finally they were able to observe how the force of water can be transformed into energy.
The rest of the time, students and teachers experienced by playing thanks to the Centre’s equipments.
Hewelianum Centre to the Motion Gallery, Friday, April 1st
In the morning we went to Hewelianum Centre to the Motion Gallery. The laboratory is situated in the renovated historical building of the Scarp Shooting Gallery.
This place is a one-storey Prussian military object from the second half of the XIX century located at the base of the Fort’s Lower Front. It’s a brick construction with a barrel vault and a spiral staircase. The rooms in the building are arranged one behind another on one axis and form a spectacular perspective.
The pupils, after an astronomy lesson, tried to understand the rules of force of gravity thanks to the instrumentents located in the gallery.
