Nargis Zahra - Principal
Ms. Nargis Zahra is an educationist and academician with extensive experience working in private, public, and nonprofit sectors since 2003. She holds an MS in International Relations and a Master of Philosophy in Strategic Studies. Ms. Nargis has specialized in knowledge of teaching methods, Curriculum development, research methods, and academic principles. In her two decades of working experience, she has established and cofounded three educational institutions for early age and higher education, one peer-reviewed research journal, and one university department.
Ms. Zahra has developed policy papers on the concept of deradicalization of Muslim youth and the development of the Modern Islamic State. She has published 11 Factfiles, and 3 peer-reviewed research articles, and edited a Y Category Journal of Contemporary Studies. She started her professional life in 2002 as General Secretary of a non-profit in Islamabad. She joined a Girls’ Law College as a Lecturer in 2003. She served as Director of Administration at the same College from 2004-2007.
Ms. Zahra joined the Islamabad Policy Research Institute in 2009 and National Defense University in 2011. She served as in charge of collaboration between the Faculty of Contemporary Studies NDU and allied international missions in Islamabad. The university hosts allied officers from many allied nations each year. Her responsibilities included coordination with embassies and international organizations, the Higher Education Commission, and the Dean's office, conducting international seminars and conferences, giving presentations to foreign delegations on national, regional, and global issues, and writing reports. In addition to this, she has frequently been writing in English Newspapers' Editorials, and speaking at Radio and TV Current Affairs programs in Pakistan and USA. She has also worked as a trainer for Local Body Representatives from different parts of Pakistan at the National Centre for Rural Development (NCRD).
She served as an honorary member on the Business Advisory Board of former Comptroller of MD, Peter Francho, and has been a part of the political campaign of current Comptroller Brooke Lierman,
Her recent academic project was with the University of Maryland, Dept. of Education, Project CLIMB, about cognitive learning of bilingual kids in elementary schools.
Ms. Nargis Zahra joined ICCL Academy as a Principal in June 2024.

Misbah Shaikh- Office Manager & Teacher of Islamic Studies
Dr. Misbah has a Master's degree in Public Health and certification in the Islamic Essentials program from a local Islamic institute. She has acquired a comprehensive understanding of fundamental principles and subjects from the program, which has equipped her with the necessary knowledge to teach Islamic studies at various levels effectively.
Alhamdulillah, she has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and external partners. She also has experience in school management systems. She is responsible for managing the school office at the ICCL Academy. She can be reached at officemanager@academy.icclmd.org.
